Karmann Ghia

One previous owner 66 Ghia, originally a Californian dry car. We bought this fine car through the Samba Feb 04. We rebuilt the engine, flushed the gas tank, retrimmed interior with TMI covers, sewfine carpets, rebuilt the horns, painted the engine bay, a very very pretty car, all original underneath too.. WOW. Sold through the Samba May 05.

Interior

Buildup

We stripped off all the old material from the hood so it too could be powder coated. All the wood was amazingly in good condition – we think the hood had been refurbished at least once before and new wood used. We ordered the material for the new hood from convertible specialties CA. Excellent price and very knowledgeable. NOS rear lens and license plate lens. Found a period NC tag plate from 1962 – all legal so long as you carry the current tag in the car with you.
