Restoration of Brunswick – a 1962 Karmann Beetle.
This started out as a desire to run round in a open top 4 seat convertible. We’ve experienced Triumphs and enjoyed them so it had to be something new. Then we found the Samba website in the US and the look of some of the cars for sale there were fabulous – we were hooked.
Having a sneaky drive before the restoration began. Drove ok, brakes 
worked, engine started and ran very well but there was quite a bit of gear whine from 4th gear. Reverse ok and I was able to steer. Not much else to it really. Bought a big grin from the neighbours too.
