What a day, started in Vegas, ended in a RV park somewhere on route 66, saw some awesome man made stuff, collected another VW, the guy had a goatee beard like AL, turned in the very reliable Ford Focus, went shopping, bought some food and camping stuff, started the journey, figured out the bus was not as powerful as the drag bus, probably overheated theĀ engine climbing an ever so slight incline, found route 66 which was cool, but then broke down, and then broke down again, but then eventually found an RV park – with cell phone coverage -

Finishing Touches
Wednesday, June 6th, 2007We wanted to keep rust at bay and with the intention of driving it every day we chose to paint the entire underside in POR 15. This means we need a good surface to paint to, so after about 100 hours of scraping, washing, sanding etc we got to the finished state – should last a good while. (more…)
Running Gear
Saturday, January 6th, 2007Anibal Chico www.steelbuggin.com built this 1776 long block with a new case, new heads, C25 cam for torque, with a deep sump and full flowed for oil filtering. We then added powder coated German doghouse tin, new Sachs clutch, powder coated intake manifold, and even tracked down a complete 38A (68-71 bus) generator – so we could run some extra music at some stage.
